Sulafat [gaLyr], great ability to compose music, especially using computer tools

Sulafat [Gamma Lyrae, gaLyr, γ Lyr] is the 2nd brightest star in the constellation Lyra (the Lyre), with a visual magnitude of +3,25. It is located at a distance of about 620 light years from the solar system.

The traditional name Sulafat is derived from the Arabic السلحفاة 'Al-Sulḥafāt', which means 'tortoise'. It was also known as 'Jugum', which in Latin means 'yoke' (piece of wood that joins two oxen and the plow rudder).

Sulafat is a giant blue-white star with a B9 III spectral classification, with a surface temperature of 10080 K. It has a radius 15 times greater than the Sun.

Photometric observations were carried out in the year 1909, April 1986 and June 2001.

It is located in the longitude 292.2º (22º11' Capricorn; golden aspect 68º75', 0º56' orb; (tri)semioctile 67º30', 0º19' orb), and latitude  55.0º (25º 0' Taurus; (bi)trecile@55º23', 0º23' orb).

And in the right ascension 284.7º (14º44' 10th House; pentataotile 75º [=semisquare 45º > 0º Sagittarius/Pisces, =sesquicuadrate 135º > 0º Gemini/Virgo], 0º16' orb) and declination  32.7º ( 2º41' 2nd House; undecile 32º44', 0º03' orb).

Sulafat is a star that reminds the planet Venus and the object (88611) Teharonhiawako (Kuiper belt). It is related with a great ability to compose music, especially using computer tools, due to its mathematical and temporal capacity (declination in oncile aspect).

Paula Abdul, author of the song "Straight up" (1988), has Sulafat in Capricorn (7th Moon-Node House) in conjunction with the Moon, and in trine with Pallas in Taurus (3rd Moon-Node House).

Pierre Schaeffer, first composer who used magnetic tape to edit sound ('concrete' music style) in the early 50's, has Sulafat in Capricorn (5th Moon-Node House) in conjunction with Uranus; in opposition to Neptune in Cancer (11th Moon-Node House), which is in conjunction with Venus; and in quincunx to the Sun in Leo (10th Moon-Node House).

Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, poet who wrote the "Manifesto of Futurism" (1909) that promoted the integration between machines and art, has Sulafat in capricorn (2nd Moon-Node House) in trine with the Crossing Point of the Age Progressions (Signs Horoscope / Moon-Node Horoscope) in virgo (6th Moon-Node House), which is in trine with Pluto in Taurus (10th Moon-Node House).
