Eltanin [gaDra], intuitive understanding of the physical universe and its natural laws

Eltanin [Gamma Draconis, gaDra, γ Dra] is the brightest star in the constellation of the Dragon. It is a giant orange, located in the head of the constellation. Has an apparent magnitude of +2,24 and it is located at 148 light-years away from the Solar System, but it comes toward us; so that, within 1.5 million years ago, it will be just 28 light years far and then it will be, along with Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky. Its radius is 50 times larger than that of the Sun and its luminosity is 600 times greater than that of the Sun.

In 1728, James Bradley, while trying to measure the parallax of this star, discovered the aberration of light caused by the speed of the motion of the Earth in relation to the speed of light coming from the stars. This discovery proved the Copernican theory that the Earth revolves around the Sun.

It has a declination of +51º (septile) and it is located at the degree 27º of Sagittarius (+75º of celestial latitude).

The name Eltanin comes from Arabic Al Rās al Tinnīn, whose meaning is "snake".

Eltanin is related with intuitive understanding of the physical universe and its natural laws, through extrasensory perception.

Albert Einstein, which formulated the Theory of Relativity, has Eltanin in Sagittarius and in the 6th House. In the House Horoscope forms a square with Uranus in the 3rd House.

Edgar Cayce, seer who performed physical and spiritual readings in a state of deep trance, has Eltanin in Sagittarius and in the cusp of the 5th House. In the Signs Horoscope forms a trine with Chiron in Aries, while in the House Horoscope forms a triseptile with Pluto in the cusp of the 10th House.

Arcturus [alBoo], devote to a task until it is completely mastered

Arcturus devotes to a task until it is completely mastered, like in the movies "Groundhog Day" (1993), "50 First Dates" (2004), "Source Code" (2011) "Edge of Tomorrow" (2014) and the video game "Prince of Persia - Warrior Within" (PS2, 2004).

An experience and understanding so deep in a given subject, makes possible for Arcturus to transmit its knowledge, explaining amazingly.

Rigel [beOri], amazing ability to influence and persuade

Rigel [Beta Orionis, beOri, β Ori] is the brightest star in the constellation Orion (the Hunter), with a visual magnitude of +0,18. It is located between about 700 and 900 light years from the solar system.

The traditional name Rigel has two derivations of Arabic:

  1. 'Rijl Jauzah al Yusrā', which means 'the left leg-foot of Jauzah'.
  2. رجل الجبار 'Riǧl Al-ǧabbār', meaning 'leg-foot of the great one' (in the Alphonsine tables of the thirteenth century, the name was divided into two, giving the form to the current name: 'Rigel' and 'Algebar').

The main component of the system is a blue supergiant of spectral type B8 Ia, with a surface temperature of 11,500 K. It is a very massive star (18 solar masses) and has a luminosity 50,000 times greater than that of the Sun (if considered also the ultraviolet spectrum, its luminosity would be 85,000 times higher than that of the Sun). If it were located in the center of the solar system, its radius would extend to Mercury's orbit.

Two binary stars, separated from each other by about 100 AU and of magnitude +6.7, orbit around Rigel at a distance of about 2500 AU. Besides, a fourth star orbits at a distance of 11500 AU, with a period of about 250,000 years.

It is located in the longitude 77.1º (17º 6' Gemini; semiseptile 77º08' [=biseptile 102º51' > 0º Libra], 0º02' orb), and latitude -31.1º (28º53' Aquarius; (bi)trevigintile@31º18', 0º11' orb; semisextile 30º [=trine 120º > 0º Cancer/Scorpio], 1º07' orb).

And in the right ascension 78.6º (18º38' 3rd House; (penta)trevigintile@78º16', 0º22' orb; (hepta)cuartioctile@78º45', 0º07' orb) and declination  -8.2º (21º48' 12th House)
.

"The Prince of Egipt" (1998)

Rigel is a star that reminds the planets Neptune and Pluto. The symbolic image "the left leg-foot of the great one", refers to a person with the capacity to argue and reason ('left'), with a great influence ('the great one') over a very wide territory ('leg-foot') ), and reminds the political candidates that during election campaigns they give speeches throughout the country, covering even small towns.

Rigel is related with an amazing capacity to influence and persuade, thanks to its high vibrations and the constancy and amplitude of its diffusion.

Julianna Margulies, actress of the TV series "The Good Wife" (2009), has Rigel in Gemini (12th Moon-Node House) in conjunction with the Sun, and in square with Uranus-Pluto in Virgo (9th Moon-Node House).

Liz Green, astrologer and author of astrology books and seminars, has Rigel in Gemini (1st Moon-Node House) in conjunction with the Lunar Node, and in square with Mars in Libra (10th Moon-Node House).

Spica [alVir], inner strength to cope with the difficult moments in life

Spica [Alfa Virginis, alVir, α Vir] is the brightest star in the constellation Virgo. Has an absolute magnitude of +1.04 and it is at 250 light years from Earth. It is a binary system, whose components orbit between them every four days. The tidal forces distort the ellipsoid form, according to the variations of gravitational interaction. The close proximity between them (0.12 AU), also causes the collision of strong stellar winds send out by each one of them, which scatters the light rays and generates intense X-ray The overall brightness is around 12000 times more than the sun. Has a high rotation speed: 199 km/s.

Because of the nearness to the ecliptic (2º), Spica can be hidden by the Moon and sometimes by planets. In November 2009, Venus came very close to Spica (3.5º); the last occultation occurred in November 1783. Between 1966 and 1970, there were important photometric observations.

It has a declination of -11º and it is located at the degree 23º of Libra (-2º of celestial latitude).

The name Spica derives from Latin spica virginis (virgin ear of grain). Due to its separation from the closest stars, in Arabic was called Azimech, السماك الأعزل al simak al a'zal, which meant 'the Undefended'. In Egypt was known as 'the bearer of the Lute'; and in China, as 'the horn' or 'the pointer'.

The quality of the star Spica reminds the planet Jupiter. It is related with the inner strength that allows to cope with the difficult moments in life, overcoming despair with patience and hope.

In traditional astrology, the quality of the star Spica is associated with the planets Venus and Mars, due to the fact that relationships can overcome couple crisis, reaching maturity and fullness, like in the movies "The Painted Veil" (2006) and "The Longest Ride" (2015).

Nicholas Sparks, author of the book "The Longest Ride" (2013), has Spica in Libra in the 8th Moon-Node House, in trine with Jupiter in Gemini in the 12th Moon-Node House, and in trine with the Black Moon in Aquarius in the 4th Moon-Node House.

Naomi Watts, actress of the movie "The Painted Veil" (2006), has Spica in Libra in the 6th Moon-Node House, in opposition to Saturn in Aries in the 12th Moon-Node House, whom it is in quincunx to Pluto in Virgo in the 7th Moon-Node House, and whom it is in sextile with Neptune in Scorpio in the 5th Moon-Node House.

Polaris [alUMi], ability to work under a lot of pressure

Polaris [Alfa Ursae Minoris, alUMi, α UMi] is the brightest star in the constellation Ursa Minor (The Little Bear). It is a yellow supergiant of spectral type F7Ib-II3, with a luminosity 2440 times greater than that of the Sun and a radius 37 times greater than that of the Sun. It has an apparent magnitude of +1.97 and it is located at 431 light years from the Solar System.

Polaris is a multiple star system with two other stars much smaller. The most distant one, which orbits at about 2400 AU, was discovered in August 1779; while the nearest one, which orbits at about 17 AU, was discovered in 1929.

In 1911 it was confirmed that Polaris has complex variations in its brightness, something that was already suspected since 1852. In addition, in 2004 it was shown that its brightness is now 2.5 times higher than during the observations of Potolomy.

It has a declination of +89º (square) and it is located at the degree 28º of Gemini (+66º of celestial latitude).

The modern name of Polaris appeared during the Renaissance era, it is an abbreviation of 'Stella Polaris', which in Latin means 'Polar Star'.

The quality of the star Polaris reminds to our Sun and the planet Saturn. It is related with the ability to work under a lot of pressure, so that, as far as possible, the ongoing activities can be carried out with relative normality, in spite of the fact that the strain of the situation is extraordinary, like in the movie "Crimson Tide" (1995) and at the end of the movie "The Sum of All Fears" (2002). Also, extraordinary efforts can be done, like at the end of the movie "Jumper" (2008).

"Terminator 5 - Genisys" (2015)

Tracy Marks, author of the book "Planetary Aspects: An Astrological Guide to Managing the T-Square", has Polaris in Gemini on the cusp of the 10th Moon-Node House, in square with the Crossing Points of the Age Progressions (Signs Horoscope / Moon-Node Horoscope), and in trine with Jupiter in Aquarius in the 2nd Moon-Node House.

Keanu Reeves, actor of the movie "Speed" (1994), has Polaris in the Ascendant of the Moon-Node Horoscope (with Saturn in the cusp of the 5th Moon-Node House).

Jeremy Renner, actor of the movie "The Hurt Locker" (2008), has Polaris in Gemini (overlap zone of the 8th-9 th Moon-Node Houses), in opposition to Mercury in Sagittarius (overlap zone of 2nd-3rd Moon-Node Houses), and in quincunx with Jupiter in Scorpio (overlap zone of 3rd-4th Moon-Node Houses).

Akira Toriyama, author of the manga "Dragon Ball" (1984), has Polaris at the Descendant of the Moon-Node Horoscope.

Procyon [alCMi], ability to create a method or system

Procyon [Alfa Canis Minoris, alCMi, α CMi] is the most brilliant star of the constellation Canis Minor, with an apparent magnitude of +0.50. It is located at a distance of 11 light years from Earth. It has a radius twice as large as the sun.

It is a binary subgiant that has begun to expand. His companion is a weak white dwarf located at 15 AU, with an eccentric orbit that ranges from 9 UA to 21 UA (equivalent to the distance of Saturn and Uranus from the Sun). Photometric observations were made in 1979, 1999-2000 and 2004.

It has a declination of +5º and is located at 25º Cancer (-16º of celestial latitude).

The name Procyon derives from the Greek προκύον (Prokyōn), which means "before the Dog" (Syrian was the Star of the Dog). In the Mesopotamian mythology, Procyon was known as Nagar the carpenter, an aspect of Marduk, involved in the construction and organization of the celestial sky.

Procyon
is a star that reminds the quality of the planets Saturn and Pluto. It gives the ability to create a method or system.

Bruno Huber, astrologer who created the Huber method, has Procyon in cancer in trine with Venus in Scorpio.

Lev Vygotsky, researcher of developmental psychology and founder of the cultural-historical psychology, has Procyon in Cancer in trine with the Sun, Uranus and Saturn in Scorpio.
